Somehow students survived for decades/centuries reading works like
Metamorphoses, To Kill A Mockingbird, Crime & Punishment, Huckleberry Finn, Things Fall Apart, The Bible. Yes, the Bible. Will the Bible also get a Trigger Warning?

I don't think that's a great argument. People survived for decades/centuries without running water and electricity, too. What is the detriment of letting someone know the book they're about to read contains potentially distressing topics?
