Says who? The same people shrieking about this "outrage" would have absolutely no problem separating children from their parents if the parents belonged to a religion, or sought to live a lifestyle of which the whiners do not approve.

Where were all these liberals a few years back when that German family sought asylum in the US because Germany wanted to take their kids away because they were being homeschooled? Firmly in the send 'em back crowd. On the only issue where we had any definitive knowledge about the German family, their stance was that not only were they not seeking to leech off the taxpayers, they were coming here specifically to NOT partake of government services.

So children being taken from parents, because the parents are under arrest for being caught in the act of breaking the law, and being held in the USA, whose idea of torturing prisoners is releasing a non-poisonous insect into the prisoner's cell - this is an atrocity and outrage, but sending a family back to Germany to have their children snatched away into the maw of the institutional descendant of the concentration camp system is just fine and dandy.

They want to import a working class of peasants who can be trained to vote for the party that promises them entitlements, and it needs to be ongoing or the peasants might start getting ideas that America is cool and everything Mamacita & Papa have to say about the good old country actually makes it sound kind of sucky and dios mio do we need that much spice on all our food? Pizza is kind of good too, and football is a lot cooler than soccer and why NOT identify with the country that won the war the one time they fought. And the next thing you know, they are reading the constitution or getting engaged by the idea that taxes aren't the best thing ever, and earning your own living, rather than applying for it, has advantages... Nope, we need to keep refreshing the immigrant community with culturally illiterate bottom feeders, to increase the power of the Democratic stooges who are the self-appointed leaders of the community, decrease the incentive to assimilate & Americanize, and increase the peer pressure for group solidarity.
