Dr. Strange depicted "magic" in a somewhat weave like manner. The mechanics will be different for WoT, but the CGI style in Dr. Strange was good. And not that expensive, relative to what they'll have to spend to show the effects.

Jordan even gave the colors for the different flows in an interview, or maybe the old Question of the Week thing.
Honestly, if the handle Dragonmount well, they'll buy themselves a lot of capital as viewers know what things will look like once the characters get powerful.
Actually, if Moiraine is going to be the priority character in the early episodes, they should be doing strong channeling right off the bat. If the focal characters are the kids, it might make sense to not show the flows they can't see, but if Moiraine is the main character, it makes sense to show weaves.
