Alright, let's split it up by category, just from the last couple of weeks:
Intentional bald-faced lies:
- claiming China pays for the cost of his tariffs, rather than American companies and consumers
- claiming there were a million illegal votes in California in the 2016 election and that California admitted to that
- claiming the Obama administration 'begged' North Korea for meetings
Random nonsense because he can't be bothered and isn't remotely interested in the actual facts:
- claiming the UK is the biggest trade partner of the US
- claiming there has 'never been, ever before, an administration that is so open and transparent'
- attacking the Federal Reserve and saying they 'don't have a clue'
Absurd boasts without the least credibility or basis in fact:
- insulting Theresa May and pretending he could've gotten a so much better deal from the European Union
The sheer number of his lies, if you look at any website keeping track of them, is staggering, though that's partially because there are some he just endlessly keeps repeating, like the one about who actually pays his import tariffs.
That's nice for you, but when discussing incidents abroad like this one, matters of foreign policy that have an impact on global politics and the global economy, it goes without saying that the opinion of foreigners - whether individuals or governments - is kind of relevant.
