Let's just say, arguendo, that the trade war with China ends and the US gets a much better deal than it had. Trump will no doubt say it is the best trade deal in all of history, because self-aggrandizement is something he does well. That's just ego and PR.
As for one million illegal votes in California, I'd call that hyperbole. Are there at least one million potential illegal voters in California? Yes, there are. The Los Angeles Times reported that there are over 1 million illegal aliens with driver's licenses in the Shitty Golden State. The licenses are supposed to say that they aren't for voting because proof of citizenship wasn't offered.
Do some of those illegals end up getting registered to vote even though the licenses are supposed to say they can't? Again, yes! This time the Washington Times reported on this problem.

Trump was probably being lazy and took the two data points to create an unproven allegation. However, there could be a lot more registered illegals than what was found in the short period for which the "error" occurred. Motor voter statutes are only as good as the people enforcing them, which, in the case of the DMV, apparently means that someone who may not have the mental capacity to get into the army is enforcing the statute. I wouldn't be surprised if we are talking about at least tens of thousands of illegals voting in California, perhaps over 100,000.
