Perhaps, considering the ORIGINAL COMMENT, it's a little more reasonable to speculate that Tom was suggesting we treat the person who made the comment like a puppy farm brood bitch and sell her children at 8 weeks old? After all, wouldn't she view that as humane? Since you are so fond of categorizing everything into buckets, that would be an example of hyperbole, or perhaps reductio ad absurdum. Or if you prefer brevity, sarcasm.
