But when that support comes at the cost of kids locked up in atrocious conditions, peaceful protesters gassed and beaten to clear the way for a photo op, and thousands more dying every week due to a disease that is quite containable with reasonable leadership, at the cost of overturning rules that had just begun to address the biases faced by gay, bi and transgender patients from the healthcare system, and when this is just the very most recent set of disasters and moral outrages... No, I don't think moderation and mutual respect is called for.

I will respect a group that shows similar respect for the life and liberty of others. I don't see the need to respect the choice of people who valorize, and continue to support a government that actively takes it upon itself to violate the rights and lives of the most vulnerable.
