I'm not naïve concerning the current state of the electorate. I have the misfortune of knowing three people who absolutely believed in their hearts that "The Storm" was coming on Jan. 6th to sweep out of office the international child sex and infant blood drinking cabal and line them all up to be shot. All three blocked me on Facebook that day. I was disappointed. I had so enjoyed mocking them.

It used to be only the Far Left who wanted to tear up the Constitution to replace our government with a communist/socialist one. Now add the QANON whack jobs who want a military dictatorship headed by President for Life Donald. You claim all Republicans are courting this base. I disagree. There are those who despise them as much as I do and on these rest the hope of the Party.

If there are too few to matter, then you will be proved right and we will continue to descend into the slog of permanent gridlock and discarding the Constitution to accomplish anything. I hope you are wrong and the pendulum swing, when it happens as it always does, stops more towards the middle.
