Notice I am not saying we should eliminate all existing alternatives to fossil fuels. Incremental improvement is better than nothing. Rather, my point is that none of the current baskets are good enough to hold all our eggs.

But gun to my head and pick one, I agree with Greg. Nuclear is currently the best choice.


Yes. Nuclear remains the best short term and medium term solution until other solutions present themselves as being environmentally friendly AND affordable to the consumer. We have to think about what people can afford to spend on energy. Natural gas is a good solution too. We need technological solutions too. Carbon capture technology and making better coal plants. All this needs to be thought about in terms of our foreign policy. I supported Obama and Trump opening up exploration of oil fields and fracking so that we could hamstring OPEC. I want to live in a future where our foreign policy is not going to be affected by what OPEC wants.
