A simple ctrl+f and then you type a player's name in. You have to filter out any results in the message you're viewing when searching (and in the reply box at the bottom which is why it's better to find a random *NM* message to search from, it cuts down on the chance of finding a result in the message body when you're trying to search the thread itself) and it gives you all of the player's posts for that day. You can also go to their last result to find out when they last posted.

The breakdown for toDay looks like this:

When you add all those posts together, plus my posts and Hobo's zombie post, you should get 74, which is good, since this thread is my original post (1) and 73 replies before this post goes up.

It's not perfect, it doesn't give word count, and the results can be skewed a bit when people's names are in the subject line of a post, like in the hypocop table. But it's not too hard to double check the posts, for example Kronin had 13 results, but 2 were hypocop results and 2 were people discussing him (along with Col. Mustard) as suspects. Some names get abbreviated, which actually helps, because if you search 'Kronin al' in the find box, you get 9 results, which is accurate.

As to the inactivity, 2 posts would be bad, but White Flame did let us know beforehand and looks like he'll get his post count up quickly. Three is bad, and fistofpainx and Bergioyn do need to pick it up.
