Hmm. There are early indications of the story arch by then, but it has not gotten spectacular yet.
Would telling me a little of the story arc ruin anything if I decide to watch later?
I really don't think it is possible to tell a little of the story arch. There are several of them, and they tie themselves together. The one I was thinking of has to do with Sinclair and why the Minbari did not wipe out the humans. There is another, very well written one, developing G'Kar and Londo Mollari. And there is a greater one tying it all together.
I confess I really, really dislike 24, but I am a fan of plot archs (part of the reason why I love Babylon 5 so much). Dollhouse has one, but it takes too long to develop it (it feels episodic for the first half season at least), and when it finally ties it up it is a little unsatisfactory. But nowhere near as unsatisfactory as Battlestar Galactica.
I actually re-watched the final four episodes of BSG last night and actually found it MUCH better the second time around. There was a lot that was left unanswered, but I really liked that. 24 became pretty predictable near the end of it's run, but I still loved it. I know plenty of people who didn't like it so I'm not too surprised that you didn't enjoy it.
I am just bitter because they promised to do so much with Greek mythology, and then they just dropped it along the side and hoped no one would care.

FWIW, Angel is a much better character on his own show than he was on Buffy. *NM*

I never liked him because he was a vampire sleeping with the Slayer.
