If a speed limit sign is obscured by a bush and I'm unable to see it that makes me ignorant of the law. You can't get a traffic ticket for that. I've seen it successfully fought.

Then you have seen a miracle. I think that, you could, in theory even be fined for not clearing the sign if it can be proven you were aware that it was obscured. And at least here in Finland being unaware of the law isn't viable defence.


No offense, but that's a stupid theory. I can't see that being done at all. After all it's the DoT's job to make sure that everyone is aware of the speed limits. Therefore it should be the FCC's job to make sure that all of the fine print is clearly legible in the end credits of a show. Even credit card companies have to make sure their fine print is able to actually be read.
