Though yeah, there are a few that are very hard to swallow - Wash in Serenity, and Tara in Buffy in the first and only episode where she gets a mention in the main credits (I mean, seriously).


I must admit I would have had less of an issue with Tara's death if it hadn't been done in such a ridiculously contrived manner as well, with that guy firing his gun at an angle that probably wouldn't have come anywhere near hitting her since she was out of sight, in a building on the first floor (second floor if you are American ;) ). It had also come immediately after she'd made up with Willow after 15-odd episodes of them being separated and, as you say, it was when her name was in the credits for the first time.
