Please post all your thoughts and discussions in this post regarding Chapter 1 of the new book.

Other posts will be removed from now on to remove a spoiler threat to other posters. When the new book comes out, an official spoiler policy will enter the board whereby posts can be generated normally, but for now, any ideas on this chapter must be contained in this post please.

Thoughts, reviews, ideas... what did you think?


I liked it, I didn't really notice any difference in writing styles, but it has been a while since I read the previous books.

I'm glad to see another chapter from Rand's POV, as he still is my favorite character, despite getting more insane as time goes on.

Only problem I have now is having to wait nearly two months for the rest of the book.
