Yeah... some things just go against the possibilities of the Pattern and I suspect this likely a case like this. I think it's likely an experiment with that could have ended as badly as the time Joe Sedai told his da'shain : "come on guys, fetch the Nym and get those chora cuttings and I'll drop all of you in the field before going to work...", assuming it's not rather Dr. Gina Sedai who told her new creation : "let's go Nym, step through the Gateway, this morning after 300 years of hard work I'm finally ready to show you proudly to the Hall of Servants" (just kidding, I'm guessing they discovered no construct couldn't survive Travelling long before they got to make the complex ones like Nym).

Egwene thought she could make one day be able to see the reflections of other worlds in TAR. I wonder if going there in the flesh she could Travel to those worlds, a bit like using Portal Stones. But I suspect that'd be really dangerous too, as you never know "the rules" on the other side... the world may be lethal to humans, or the rules of physics may be different and from there it may be impossible to open a gateway back to TAR, or the weave to do it may have to be different and you're stuck there until you've figured it out or died... I'm guessing OP research wasn't necessarily the safest field to work in!!
