Well, it was after I read it. Skeeve the Great Send a noteboard - 26/11/2010 02:03:20 PM

From the book one we've been told that rats and ravens are spies for the Shadow. How do you figure they do it? Now we know the answer that was bugging me from day one - special TP weave. And when I read this it was so "intuitively obvious" that it made me smile.

Back to the bird - Aran'gar recognises what Graendal's doing... so why haven't Forsaken mentioned this trick in passing over the 12 books?

I loved the scene in ToM. It was very well written and fun to read but it was anything BUT obvious.

I didn't say it was obvious before you read it. I said that when you read it, the logicality of the weave and the scene is very obvious. And it does not feel like we've been cheated with some very special thing, because the thing was well in place since book 1.

As to why it wasn't mentioned before - well the same way why mad wolfbrother is the way he is wasn't mentioned before. Both are plots that were around since earlier books that needed resolution. And I tell you, resolution of animal TP weave is very cool. It explains a lot in very logical and intuitively obvious way. At least for me it's more "logical and intuitively obvious" than Graendal killed Asmo. :)

Yes, it's BSand's fault. RJ couldn't have EVER planned it all out himself right? Yes mm hmm - 25/11/2010 04:19:02 PM 1063 Views
