I like the Aiel because they support the hero of the story, and they also happen to encapsulate a number of romantic characteristics.


They're a highly regimental society that is based on war. They sold slaves. In Avi's vision they willfully started a war while every other kingdom was enjoying peace. Before Rand came most of them were all but fighting and killing each other. I don't doubt your genuine reasons for liking them for being pro-protagonist force, that's fine. But I fail to see what romantic characteristics your speaking of in terms of the Aiel?
