A)Mesaana and Demandred didn't know that Semirhage was planning to get captured.

B)Semirhage didn't plan to get captured.


Personally I always subscribed to the 'she got captured on accident' idea, just because she coudn't have anticipated things going down that way with the terangreal and all, also getting captured is rarely a good strategy when so many other good ones were available.
