Think about the (real) world right now. How do you feel about slavery and torture? How do you feel about the whole "waterboarding" thing? Gitmo and the indefinate incarceration? Do you like these things? Are you "Ok" with it?
Now imagine if this was not just an isolated (if horrible) event, but was society wide. And guess what...no one...not even in protest....ever thought it was wrong. Instead you have a society that is so used to it, that they actually believe that the way that they are treating those individuals is correct. Is so correct that they go willingly to it.
Now ponder that for a moment. Is all that orderly society stuff really worth living in an environment that is based upon such ideals?
