Re: I don't see why people are having trouble believing Traveling was lost in the Breaking Tor Send a noteboard - 05/02/2012 09:11:04 PM
For one thing it's mentioned many times throughout the series so it's well documented.

I'm not disputing the fact that Travelling is a lost talent.

My purposes in posting the question was twofold. First, I couldn't see how Travelling could become lost, and I wanted to see if anyone had a plausible explanation. Secondly, if an explanation couldn't be found, I wanted to rant about what I see as poor attention to detail.

After reading other people's arguments, I feel I have a better understanding of the subject. I now see it as somewhat likely that Travelling disappeared because it couldn't be passed on to students due to the hurried nature of training during the Breaking, and about equally likely that it just wasn't useful during the Breaking. However, I see both of those explanations as unsatisfactory. If you like, you can consider this thread my rant.

It is a little odd. Maybe because channelers weren't united for a while? - 03/02/2012 02:24:17 PM 1261 Views
