Wow ... Not sure what is bringing out the aggression

I'm expressing a POV on how I read a storyline not trying to prove a case before the Supreme Court of WoT. It's a forum, as in a place to discuss our perspectives with others. My perspective is and has been that I believe Galad being a Damodred was a stupid political move. Not trying to pick up on some non existent "error" ... It's a observation that the Mantear Royals made a stupid move by allowing him to be a Damodred. There are many reasons how, some more plausible than others, I'm not all that interested in that piece ... I don't much care about the machinations behind the decision. I just think its an example of the crafty Cairhienin Damodred's getting one over on the more transparent Andoran family. But for the record I don't believe there has been a smart reason brought forward for his being a Damodred ... Only reasons that make the Mantears look stupid. And Taringail look even more stupid for marrying into Trakand. Maybe a ta'veren was involved.
Go ahead and question my intelligence I'm sure better men have done the same.
Matrilineal or not the Mantear line had recently run to males and the last son of the Royal line would in any instance be a valuable commodity to the house ... Perhaps married to another Mantear with strong ties to Ishara. They follow the female line, doesn't mean they don't value the males. If Galad had a daughter in such an arrangement Mantear is vastly better off than if they left him to the Damodred's.
Andor doesn't need anything from an insane King from a weaker nation and a declining House. Mantear could have put Galad to many good uses ... He would have been a good match for Tenobia for consort, or as I've already mentioned married to a female of the Mantear line to add legitimacy etc ... Children such as Galad were often married off, like his mother and father. This is not a difficult concept to understand. But I can see that you are more concerned with being correct than you are in having a discussion on the topic. My bad for trying to make it interesting on here.
