Going back to the Bell Curve we now can map the Mean level at 11 and have an equal number of Standard Deviations between top and bottom to the Mean yet see huge strength increases at the upper levels (I.e. Egwene is actually 6x Daigian, but Daigian is still a level 9). This works well enough for me.

Nothing of what you said is even relevant to my point, which is that Jordan could have designed the distribution in any number of ways which could be non-symmetric, and at the same time reasonably be called a bell curve.

Also, did you know that if you don't have a linear relation between strength and level, they can't both follow a normal distribution?

My point here is when someone references a BC, even one that isn't "real" there is a connotation that it looks like what you would see if you simply Google the term and look at an image. You guys keep trying to apply real world math to this when it doesn't exist. Yes I am aware that an asymmetrical BC can happen, in fact in my other posts I propose just that.

I am not convinced Moiraine is the Mean. Merely 50% of Lanfear - 02/11/2012 04:23:57 PM 994 Views
But on a Bell Curve the Mean IS 50% of Lanfear. You've just disproven your own contention. - 02/11/2012 04:40:31 PM 893 Views
OMG no it is NOT! - 02/11/2012 05:16:36 PM 807 Views
I agree with that. But please honestly look at the math I presented. It disproves the Bell Curve. - 02/11/2012 05:24:41 PM 1110 Views
