Who said Graendal v. M&C was a duel? She was simply willing to face them and was confident in her skill ... even knowing Cyndane was stronger than her.

You cannot prove any more than I can that Flinn drew all of the power of his circle. We have one brief second to see what is going on ... the rest is left to our imagination.

Cadsuane's commentary is typical of the STUPID AS hierarchy. Naturally she thinks Strength is the most important thing, she's an AS ... the author has pointed out through pretty much every other character in the series how flawed and silly this is.
