Weird. I somehow managed to read that as Aviendha saying it felt better because Min was also similarly having trouble with the masking. Your interpretation is probably right.

But to me, the important thing here is that Elayne told Min about it, and told her it would work. I don't think she'd have assumed that unless Vandene had told her Warders can mask bonds too.

Either way, even if its true that channelers can do it and non-channelers cannot, the point is moot regarding any theoretical Egwene-Rand bond. Both are channelers. For what its worth, though, Rand hasn't been able to make it work with Alanna (from KoD, where Min tries to teach him and it fails).
