I don't think anyone would be surprised if Demandred used the ways - he's as evil as Machin Shin.

Maybe Rand is suggesting using it?


He'd be just at risk as anyone else ... Machin Shin's only "survivor" was Fain/Mordeth and only because of the "sameness" between them.

I imagine this to be a conversation where Rand is telling Ituralde that the Trollocs have been invading the South using the Ways (i.e. Demandred as the commander) and Ituralde exclaiming "No one uses the Ways".

Rand and the Light have no need to risk the Ways since they have Traveling that won't kill their armies of Shadowspawn.
