Elayne doesn't matter, it's about what Terez said about her. .

As far as I know, all she's said is:
Egwene had reached her full potential by the end. Elayne, Aviendha and Nynaeve had not. One very old Aes Sedai also had not (an exception).

These are the statements you mean, correct? The only other relevant point is her talking about Nynaeve not reaching her potential despite the Cleansing:


Agreed on that point. I guess one all-day workout—even if that is an understatement—isn't quite the same as a daily routine.

To me, this raises the interesting point: forcing happens when you continuously use nearly as much of the OP as you can handle. This makes you reach your potential faster. Does it follow that if you rarely hold the full amount of OP you can, you will reach your potential very slowly?

A strong Aes Sedai who doesn't go about adventuring perhaps won't have to hold all the OP they can very often. Their daily tasks will need very little of the OP, which would be less than what they can hold. Is this the reason for someone not reaching their potential?


It can lead you to make a simple logical deduction. That deduction, in the light of information from the series about Aes Sedai could lead you to one of the reasons why a potential may never be reached.

We know from the books that some Aes Sedai rarely leave the Tower. A Brown, or even one of the other Ajah that is primarily an administrator, may rarely use the OP much, and certainly not all they can. Am I close?
It's not very straight forward as far as clues go (even Terez wondered where I was going with that until I explained it). Once you make the right observation, you need to make a few more deductions. It's logical ones, though.

Hope I get there before the encyclopedia...
