View original postThis assumes that use of an angreal means that you are not developing your unaided strength, as you are never pushing your strength boundary, being protected by the angreal buffer at all times.

It would also presume that no other Aes Sedai had ever owned an angreal for most of their career, which seems unlikely. It also assumes there's something different about the angreal buffering effect: the a'dam also buffers you against drawing too much, but that doesn't stop damane who have channeled that way from the very beginning from achieving their full potential. (I don't think?)
