Not really what I was arguing. TheCrownless Send a noteboard - 18/10/2009 05:30:05 PM
Foretelling always happens. Always Just like with Min's visions. Sometimes there's an if/than statement (Min's definitely had those, I forget if Elaida has, it's been implied that Gitara did), but if something is Foretold to happen, it'll happen.

So, it makes this conversation kind of iffy. If Moiraine hadn't come, it stands to reason that Rand would have been declared in some other way. Or perhaps it is because of Moiraine's natural stubborness and drive that this was Foretold.

All those other realities couldn't have happened, for the very reason that Rand wasn't the proclaimed Dragon in them.

He could quite possibly have fullfiled many of the other scenarios.

Either way, the fortelling decided Moiranes "destiny" just because it could have been someone else doesn't mean she didn't do what she did.

This is getting into very odd waters about wether a fortelling in one reality has any sway in the others.

I'm simply saying, in this reality, the most important player for the light after Rand is Moiraine. I dont think the story would have went well without her. People can keep their "well he must win blah blah blah" but I just dont look on the series in that way.
Come to the dark side, We have candy!

I'm Israel, he's Palestine, its more fun when you pick sides.
