Yes, if she was balefired she certainly couldn't reveal herself as the killer. But that's not to say some other POV couldn't reveal Graendal as the killer or someone else entirely for that matter.
Your logic is correct if A) Graendal is dead and B) The identity of the killer wasn't revealed to someone else by the killer.
