Ok, I will stay alert for further blows to Graendaldunnit, if this didn't already convince you! *NM* Etzel Send a noteboard - 15/11/2009 10:02:26 AM
Q: "Were you surprised when you found out who killed Asmodean?"

A: "Brandon had been a fan for a long time before he got to find out who killed Asmodean. He said that he had heard arguments for every possible suspect, including the really crazy ones like Tam. So when he found out the real answer, he wasn’t shocked. His reaction was more 'Oh, those guys were right'. He said that the clues are there, but he never would have figured it out himself."

1) People have been arguing this for years and he said he knew all the arguments.

2) When he found out he wasn't shocked. I think we can assume that a few of the more popular and well argued assailants are viable while nothing crazy like Tam is it or else he would have been shocked. Probably the three most realistic theories are Lanfear, Graendal, and possibly Slayer.

3) His reaction was "Oh, those guys are right." I take that to mean that one of the more popular and feasible arguments IS correct.

4) He said that the clues are there, but he never would have figured it out himself. Robert Jordan has said for years that there are sufficient clues to figure it out. That is nothing new. And realistically him saying he would never have figured it out is doing nothing but affirming why none of us can figure it out 100% for sure either.

There is nothing revealing here about who DIDN'T do it. You're really grasping at straws. And please don't state that we can't have it revealed that Graendal did it because she is now apparently dead. There are plenty of literary devices that could be used to portray her as the killer from a non-Graendal perspective as well as from her perspective.
