I don't know what's mild about someone being tied wrist to ankle while their back is curved. Is that even possible without breaking your back?
Considering she was just seconds away from throwing herself at the worlds' strongest female channeler to save Rand and the entire world, worrying about being prim and proper just doesn't fit with the moment, IMHO.

But Moiraine is a prude to whom such things matter. When being grilled by Cadsuane and frustrated in her plans, she still blushes furiously because Merean revealed that she was pillow friends with Siuan.

This is what I've always thought about her reaction the angreal:

Why did something so very valuable and useful have to depict something so ghastly and disgusting? Fitting that Lanfear should use it at her death. Perhaps she'll appreciate the fact it's the closest she'll ever again get to Rand sexually.

I'm also nearly positive that if your body's proportionate tying your ankles to your wrists backwards will kill you. Only underscoring the preceding, of course.
