While I agree on most of it I have to ask how Taim picked up AoL mannerisms unless

I think Taim has been a darkfriend for years - maybe even his whole life.
At some stage he was picked up by one of the male Forsaken and trained a little. He was undoubtedly picked up by Ishamael at a very early stage, and rescued by his command, but his training could have been under a different Forsaken, like Demandred or Sammael. If he's even had training - he may just be a very skilled channeler who's worked out some secret weaves.
Either way, I think he's Alviarin's equivalent. She was selected to be the head of the BA long ago by Ishamael, and eventually Mesaana picked her up and trained her a little. It's similar with Taim.
he spent a lot of time training under Ishamael before the events of the series.
Domani Drag Queen in the White Tower ... Aran'gar watch out!
Is Demandred able to transpose his personality onto his servants, with a Compulsion type of weave?

IMO RJ shot down Taimandred in order to surprise us. But you make good points. *NM*

I posted a theory at the old wotmania that maybe he is "linked" to Demandred.

If you base it on Osangar, then you should also say Moridin was in charge of Egwene...
