I don't think so, but that doesn't mean it was "for nothing".

Cadsuane showed the Forsaken were not to be feared, which is really not a major victory or a significant event, especially considering how few people were present to witness the event.
However, it's probably what decided Shaitan on the idea of sacrificing her as part of his plot to get Rand "hooked" on the True Power. In that sense, she sealed her own doom when she broke. Shaitan knew she was about to divulge important information since she had been broken and he didn't want that. Since she had been broken, he also probably didn't want to just free her because she showed weakness in breaking. As a result, he decided to use her in another useful way (for him), one that involved her death.
From the standpoint of Cadsuane and company, it was a success that yielded no information due to circumstances beyond their control, but it can be repeated if they ever capture a Forsaken again and could lead to information in the future. Just because a plan can't be taken to completion doesn't mean it was "for nothing".

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

Did Cadsuane actually get any secrets from Semirhage during her breakdown?

I don't think Cadsuane learned anything from Semirhage...

Of course it was necessary to the plot. It's why Shaitan sacrificed Semirhage. *NM*

It seems very reasonable that the DO would give Rand access to the TP

A rescue attempt at SG seems pretty difficult, though. And Min would be dead.

Because Semirhage was broken and may have revealed it to them under interrogation/spanking. *NM*
