Did she obtain any news on the other Forsaken? Demandred's plans? Anything?


Not a damn thing

If not, I find the justification for Semirhage's breakdown and humiliation from a plot perspective even more unconvincing.

It's purpose was supposedly for the Light to gain vital information from her. But in the end, it seems her aura as the ultimate Forsaken badass was destroyed for no plot purpose whatsoever.


It served the purpose of, once again, showing us how petty the FS really are, and that they are merely humans, and even the "most scary badass" amongst them are pathetic.


She could still have captured Rand with the adam if she had just escaped from captivity without being broken by Cadsuane.


but it wasn't until she was broken that SH came to free her... at that point the DO was running the risk that she would tell the Light real information if he left her in their hands now that she was broken. Note that earlier Moridin falt out refused to save her ass.

So other than meet RJ's need for "Bad Guy Humiliation", the destruction of her reputation was for nothing.


RJ did the same with pretty much all of them! Lanfear get's killed by a woman less than half her strength, Mesaana is raped for insubordination, Ishamael is exposed as a total coward, Be'lal and Moghedien get caught in their own webs ... it's sort of thematic. I think Demandred will fall off his horse and land on Mat's Ashanderi ... and Mesaana will be burned out by a dream ter'angreal
