Re: That argument is wrong... Datakim Send a noteboard - 12/01/2010 11:10:14 PM

Moridin knows quite well that Rand is powerfully ta'veren, and I'm sure the DO knows too. Taking him to SG might have been severely counter productive.

I seriously doubt the DO has to worry overmuch about that. And even if ta'veren does do something to the bore, why not just take Rand to somewhere else in the blight that is still secure but far enough away from the bore.

Moridin's Sha'rah game makes it clear that the plan is to attempt to damage Rand only in such ways that the Pattern cannot counter easily. Capture had already failed, spectacularly. It is very unlikely Moridin would trust to that again.

Are you referring to the capture by the AS? I am not entirely sure how that is in any way comparable. Rescuing Rand from the inept AS is a lot different than rescuing him from Moridin and the DO. It is quite likely that if Semirhage had taken him into the blight, that would have been game over right there.

Did Cadsuane actually get any secrets from Semirhage during her breakdown? - 12/01/2010 01:38:04 PM 1486 Views
I don't think Cadsuane learned anything from Semirhage... - 12/01/2010 02:09:26 PM 920 Views
Of course it was necessary to the plot. It's why Shaitan sacrificed Semirhage. *NM* - 12/01/2010 04:28:10 PM 352 Views
Doubt that Rand's TP use was intended - 12/01/2010 04:44:12 PM 763 Views
It seems very reasonable that the DO would give Rand access to the TP - 12/01/2010 05:22:17 PM 772 Views

A rescue attempt at SG seems pretty difficult, though. And Min would be dead. - 13/01/2010 08:09:33 AM 714 Views
