I seriously doubt the DO has to worry overmuch about that. And even if ta'veren does do something to the bore, why not just take Rand to somewhere else in the blight that is still secure but far enough away from the bore.

Wherever he was, the Pattern would find some way to free him. Look at Verin's reaction when she was told that Elaida planned to capture Rand and take him to the Tower. She felt he was too strongly ta'veren, and would have wreaked havoc there.

Are you referring to the capture by the AS? I am not entirely sure how that is in any way comparable. Rescuing Rand from the inept AS is a lot different than rescuing him from Moridin and the DO. It is quite likely that if Semirhage had taken him into the blight, that would have been game over right there.

I'm talking about the previous time Semirhage tried to capture him with a male a'dam.

This time around, when she went around using Rand through the a'dam to kill various people, Nynaeve would have used her weave which releases the a'dam, and that would have been the end.

If she had Travelled away with him, Avi, through her bond, would have known where he was, and a rescue attempt would have been mounted that the Pattern would have ensured the success of.

Did Cadsuane actually get any secrets from Semirhage during her breakdown? - 12/01/2010 01:38:04 PM 1387 Views
I don't think Cadsuane learned anything from Semirhage... - 12/01/2010 02:09:26 PM 812 Views
Of course it was necessary to the plot. It's why Shaitan sacrificed Semirhage. *NM* - 12/01/2010 04:28:10 PM 305 Views
Doubt that Rand's TP use was intended - 12/01/2010 04:44:12 PM 643 Views
It seems very reasonable that the DO would give Rand access to the TP - 12/01/2010 05:22:17 PM 662 Views

A rescue attempt at SG seems pretty difficult, though. And Min would be dead. - 13/01/2010 08:09:33 AM 587 Views
