An interesting observation, but I do not think that Sorilea is a Darkfriend. Surely, Elza could have overheard that Cadsuane had the Domination Band or Semi could have deduced the same. It is not a giant step away from that to conclude that Cadsuane would keep the DB warded and hidden in her quarters. As an channeler from the AOL Semi could surely have the skill to detect and unravel the wards.

From Verin's comments above, she could also be just trying to create suspicion about the WO. Part of her orders perhaps?


Agreed that Verin could have just been creating suspicion too.

I just found it interesting when you combine it with the fact that only 2 women were shown to see where the DB was hidden and only one of them can Channel (and incidentally saw Cadsuane unweave her ward).


Good point that Elza already had the DB when Semirhage was freed. However SH could have unravelled Cadsuane's weaves around the DB. If I remember correctly, Elza was somewhat befuddled after Semirhage was freed by SH and asked told Semirhage that she was ordered to tell her to remove the "compulsion". Those instructions could have come from SH.
