that quote is exactly the style of forshadowing that RJ uses. On your next series re-read look for it. It's everywhere. Very little of what happens in this series isn't forshadowed. And it's subtle and often best seen in hindsight. This is exactly the sort of thing. The only thing that could be more convincing is if Sorliea has been associated with the colors crimson or black (both of which point to DFs and BA pretty much whenever used).
