It's not all that convoluted, though ... Shishka Send a noteboard - 15/01/2010 03:26:01 PM
I'd say it's easier to explain that a channeler taught Elza a few tricks (maybe in TAR where she couldn't remove the Compulsion) ... than have some convoluted new SH power...

We know the Shadow can muck around with its minions' minds - look at what was done to Fain, for example. I'd say that was much more complex than what I suggested was done to Elza.

As for your TAR idea to explain why the Compulsion wasn't removed ... I could buy that. If that were the case, though, then it seems more likely that it would have been Cyndane or Moggy who taught the weaves, rather than Graendal. Presumably, SH could have rounded up one of Moridin's pets more quickly than Graendal. And even if it was Graendal, I wouldn't consider that as direct involvement in what happened to Semirhage. This idea is more of an incidental involvement - the weave-teacher (Graendal or whoever) likely had no idea (and wouldn't have been told) what was being planned for Semirhage, even if she knew that Elza was in the same camp as Semirhage.

SH can't channel thus can't teach Elza anything *NM* - 14/01/2010 10:20:19 PM 305 Views
Yeah, but according to BS, he apparently could "give her the knowledge". *shrug* *NM* - 15/01/2010 07:16:22 AM 274 Views
that's your interpretation of the quote - 15/01/2010 05:58:30 PM 655 Views
This and the others quotes suggest that only SH and Elza were involved *NM* - 16/01/2010 09:51:24 AM 249 Views
As I said that's certainly one of of interpreting the quotes - 16/01/2010 03:46:55 PM 594 Views

Yeah, as I said elsewhere, would be a nice question for BS, if there was another Forsaken. *NM* - 16/01/2010 04:08:05 PM 664 Views
I bet you anything he'd giva a big fat RAFO to that - 16/01/2010 04:08:58 PM 597 Views

always worth a try, but wasn't he asked to be less open recently? - 16/01/2010 04:31:54 PM 600 Views
