Only Bair or Sorilea knew that they were in that box, yes, and on Sorilea could have seen the weaves. I think Bair is more or less ruled out by the fact that even Elza could have guessed that Cadsuane had the bracelets.

However, the fact that the Male CK was not stolen points to the presence of SH being the mastermind. We know the Domination Band emanates sadness - it's not a stretch to imagine that SH could sense this.

Thanks for the reply though - good to know that the quote had been taken into consideration in this debate (haven't got time just now to read the entire debate so far).
