I think only three of the main theories often suggested could still be right, namely:
Cyndane's Power drop is related in some way to being Healed from stilling/burning out;
that Cyndane's weaker body is responsible for preventing Lanfear to unfold her whole potential;
or that there was a weird effect, when the door ter'angreal melted, which caused Lanfear to lose a part of her OP strength (and maybe Moiraine got it).

All of these theories seem to have their problems, though.


The 3rd option is the most interesting, IMO. It just seems a little too wacky to me.

Honestly, I'd prefer a 4th option that no one has thought of. Kind of like Verin turning out to be a reluctant BA. I never saw anyone propose that idea before.


But I agree a 4th option that no one expects would be cool :)
