I see what you mean. Shishka Send a noteboard - 01/02/2010 06:28:24 PM
Moridin and the DO are on the same page re strategy (IMO), so if your speculation re the DO's motives are correct, then Moridin would agree with them and follow through, as you suggested. Although, as you noted, both the Shadow and the Light stopped using BF during the AoL, even though presumably what you say about the DO's motives was as true then as it is now. So, I'm not sure why the DO would think such a strategy would work this time around.

I agree with what you said about the nature of the DO's motives. But at the same time, I think he still needs the Chosen to help him accomplish his goals, so if he's going to sacrifice them, it has to be for a pretty big net gain, IMO.

Sacrificing Semirhage to get Rand to use the TP would certainly qualify (assuming that's what happened), but I'm less sure about the BFing of the Chosen. Mostly because, it would likely take quite some time for the Light to go from using BF to kill a Chosen or two, to using BF indiscriminately and on a scale large enough to significantly increase the DO's ability to influence the Pattern and gain access to it. And given that we are so close to TG, it would seem that the Shadow would more interested in strategies that could be implemented on faster timeline.

We don't even know if SH knew about the access key in the box - 02/02/2010 02:09:32 PM 688 Views
