I've heard, the average temperature in Halifax during july is 74 . . . ::drools somemore:: . . . gah I have got to move there
I don't know for Halifax, but in Quebec City, the average is about 67 in July.
We can get snow from mid-Nov to mid-March and it will stay on ground until mid-April (I even saw some yesterday).

I did love it there the one time I visited right around Canada Day
