I read the others, and I don't hate him (or ever think of him at all unless I see a post here). I just don't want to have to re-read what I've already forgotten and don't own any longer. I'd say he's inspired much more indifference than he has anger. Not great for book sales.
For every reader who decides not to buy the book, at least 2 new readers will more than make up the slack. And that's not even taking into account the numbers that likely will be generated once the HBO adaptation comes out in a year. In most everything, internet communities are outliers of opinion, which is, of course, a polite way of saying that extreme opinions bunch together in a very distorted fashion. Representative opinion unfortunately is rarely seen on the interwebs. If it were, I imagine there would be some discussion of the latest episode of Firefly or some other crap show I've never watched

I said I'm "growing" to hate him. I'm not ready to pay for his death yet.

I agree but emphatically endorse use of the subjunctive "were".

You know whenever the new book is ever released, it'll sell even more copies due to the wait, right?
