Seriously, do you have nothing else to do? It's not like the genre is sparse in terms of Epic Fantasy.

Actually, that's the difference. We love the series but not the author. Kind of weird to not like the author of a series you highly praise but his attitude toward everything is: "I finish it on my own terms and screw everyone who actually likes my work. I'll sit here and dilly dally, leading everyone along for years without handing them anything of substance. AND if I die before I finish, I'll give a big middle finger to everyone and destroy all my notes so none of you will ever know what happened." I feel like that's a terrible, terrible attitude to have. I still do love the books, however.

its not as if theres a whole message board on here of asoif fans bitching that theres no new book. its something that people generally express whenever theres news of adwd or, like in my case, the thought struck them how RIDICULOUS and without excuse martins delays are. its as if he started the series then got sick of it, but is roped into finishing it so he takes his own damn time and writes 2k words per WEEK. fans are justified in 8being PISSED OFF.
