I'm talking about in respect to others; as for me, my own conclusions differ from quite a few and are based on some knowledge of the field. For cultural history, I do have the grad degree to show for it, with an emphasis on areas that touch upon what today might be labeled the "fantastic" (popular religion). So just admitting that I know from first-hand experience the problems he'd have from others isn't contradicting myself
