Physical copy is rather important in that case, you know... at least to me. jh Send a noteboard - 01/02/2010 08:54:05 PM
And that is for movies that have already made a profit and that the people have often already seen. I really don't see this as being that much different.

and I believe that most readers will look at it with the same eyes... the price of an ebook will need to be significantly lower in order to gain market shares over physical books at the moment. I am sure people will grow more friendly towards the concept of digital 'ownership' of objects but we are not there yet. The music business is going there faster, but it is easier to maintain a good quality product when you can get mp3-players for pocket money these days - most people still haven't used a reader, and that makes it more likely that they will dismiss the concept of digital purchases until they see an advantage with it - moving much or cheaper texts, whatever.

E-readers will however not be a big hit until the companies which runs them stop deleting things from them.

It's a good tactic. I would have done the same thing. *NM* - 01/02/2010 09:36:31 PM 352 Views
Is it though - Amazon's stock is way down today. Seems the tactic failed *NM* - 01/02/2010 09:53:06 PM 328 Views

Macmillan will lose out when people like myself choose to find the book elsewhere. - 01/02/2010 06:46:10 PM 618 Views
How easy is it to find books now? - 01/02/2010 06:53:43 PM 568 Views

Yep, definitely true. I wasn't thinking quite that old, though. - 01/02/2010 07:24:49 PM 762 Views
$12.99 to $14.99 for a fiction ebook is ridiculous. *NM* - 01/02/2010 07:44:20 PM 396 Views
Agreed. *NM* - 01/02/2010 07:46:33 PM 299 Views
Then again, it's half the price of a print version, for essentially the same product / experience. - 01/02/2010 07:50:29 PM 601 Views
That's the thing, it's not. - 01/02/2010 08:24:08 PM 628 Views
