Really, the entire issue needs one big sit back to see what can and cannot be done to fix it. What really needs to be done is to find a way to make people not want to leave Mexico (but i don't mean "not move to the US";).

And yah, the stupid anchor baby law needs to be changed. It's totally ridiculous from both sides. My uncle was born off-shores during WWII and, according to my grandmother, it was way too much of a fight to get him naturalized (despite the fact both his parents were American and his father was stationed military).
