Sinking the South Korean ship earlier this year was a much larger incident than this, so nothing will happen. Also i don't think that China has as much to say regarding the North Korean stance to the south, as some people think.
I (emphasis I) think that China just want to keep NK as a buffert zone, regardless of their leadership. If China really supported NK then why doesn't they export their latest, or even "next" latest military designs to NK. China does posses some military tech that would give SK a headache.
