So, people travelling in the US tomorrow: are you opting out?

With the recent kerfluffle over the new TSA guidelines (backscatter X-ray machines, pat-downs, &c.), there's been talk of a National Opt-Out Day, in which everyone refuses to go through the backscatter X-ray machines, meaning everyone will have to get a pat-down.
Which would cause some considerable chaos.
So... opinions? Do the new measures make you feel safer? Do you think they go too far?

"We feel safe when we read what we recognise, what does not challenge our way of thinking.... a steady acceptance of pre-arranged patterns leads to the inability to question what we are told."
